The province of Ontario says construction work on the Gardiner Expressway is well ahead of schedule, with all lanes expected to reopen 15 months faster than originally planned.

Had my first crack using the westbound Gardiner coming off Jamison and you were lucky to do more than 40km from there to west of Parklawn where it was wide open. I hate to think what it will be like at peak time as well doing this daily. Remind myself to use the Lake Shore, especially at peak time when I rarely drive in Toronto downtown area.

Well done @kotsy. @cividis I was instead distracted by how on Earth a supposedly progressive city like Toronto is (re)building an elevated expressway through its downtown in 2025. What the actual f*?
We badly need a palate cleanser. When is the Keating Channel elevated Gardiner coming down? Is this thread also following the construction of the new DVP ramp?

Once the area is clean, they can built the new road aliment for the Lake Shore Blvd. As far as I can see ground level, the new piers are in place for the new westbound Lake Shore bridge and no idea when steel will be place for it
Still another year for the Lake Shore new lanes work from the Don.
