I noticed a Blondies going up at Parliament and Gerrard too but the logo looked different. It looked more like the one that is in Commerce Court

The secret is out............that an influential man-about-town from the north-west end of the City loves all things Leslieville. Accordingly, outposts of Leslieville favourites are now being shipped to you. 🤣

A new wine bar called "Loop Line Wine & Food" will be opening at 643 Dupont St. near Christie. The space was formerly the location of Pimlico, a home accessories design shop.
 
German Doner Kebab is opening at 246 Queen St W, just east of John Street, and former location of Cafe Crepe.

The opening comes as German Doner Kebab gets set to open 100 new restaurants in Canada over the next ten years.

“The opening of our new flagship restaurant in Downtown Toronto will be a landmark moment for the brand in Canada as we get set to embark on a relentless period of growth throughout the next decade,” said German Doner Kebab, Managing Director for North America, Nigel Belton.

According to GDK, the new restaurant will fit 40 seats and create 30 new jobs for Toronto.

Each dish is prepared in front of customers, and kebabs are made using premium, lean meat and fresh local vegetables served in handmade toasted bread with an array of savoury signature sauces.

In the next 10 years, the brand plans to expand across Canada, adding to its 70 restaurants across the UK, Sweden, the USA, and the Middle East.

I wonder how they will tweak the prices here. $87 apps won't fly in Toronto, but the report there says it has seating for 100. Given that, I assume there's some much cheaper options on the menu, but on the other hand the rent on that location will be insane, and they would need to turn those tables twice on every night to make any money if most people will be spending much less.

The original Montreal restaurant has more reasonable prices, but still - $25 for a green salad?

They updated the article with "Clarification: Representatives from the Shangri-La issued a statement denying that Estiatorio Milos is opening at its hotel."
 
Tacos 101 has opened at 178 Baldwin Street (west of Spadina) in Kensington Market. They were previous at Dundas East & Church, but closed down due to the Pemberton condo being constructed on that block.
