Random Ontario retail nostalgia

I used to love popping into that Marche for some Nasi Goreng. I appreciated that they provided a higher quality alternative to the fast food stalls. Kind of ahead of their time in way, with the whole market concept - with that being all the rage these days, it makes you think they'd do quite well if they were still around. I really miss their epic spot at Yonge and Wellington. Nothing has filled that huge space since they sadly went under...

I remember that Marche and getting freshly squeezed orange juice, which felt like a big deal as kid back then. They definitely were ahead of the times when they were around. And arguably more refreshing than some of the food hall concepts that have sprung up. Also have some nostalgia for the Sportchek store to the right of where that pic ends. I remember getting some shoes, a hockey jersey, and a couple jackets there as a kid/teenager.
