Didn't see a thread for this.

The City is undertaking a Transportation Master Plan for Lakeshore and Parklawn area.

Below is a link the community consultation page

There is a survey with opinions due by July 1st.

Some of the public information panels are shown below:

Note that the Legion Rd Extension Project which has seemed to drag on forever, has apparently moved to detailed design:

This falls under a number of threads starting with the Waterfront Transit Reset to the 2010? Approved EA that looked at putting Transit on the Lake Shore west of Exhibition/Dufferin St. Then you got the various locations for the Park Lawn Streetcar loop, the GO Station.

Don't how long the Legion Rd extension been around as I only known about it starting in 2007.

Best to keep this as is since this was a master study under taken years ago, unless a thread was created by the person who sat on the committee at the time of his posting some info.

I find the idea of creating an E-W bridge over Mimico Creek interesting, as it was rule out in the Waterfront Reset study due to the location of the condo there and the Gardiner. I have call for since the EA was started for the Lake Shore and the Reset study that transit stay 100% on the Lake Shore and going over the Creek, than the current plan partly on the Lake Shore and the Queensway. This would provide a fast route for everyone in both direction to/from Union.

Regardless of the out come, an ROW for streetcars will be on the Lake Shore east of Park Lawn.

EDIT:
The first study started 2016

This was done in 2016 as well for Reset

Its been 16 years since a Master Waterfront Transit Plan was developed by Waterfront Toronto that has only seen the Cherry St Phase 1 line built, 90% of Queens Quay W rebuilt and that it. The City has removed 4 streetcar lines from the Master plan over 5 years ago since they saw the lines being 40-50 years down the road. Still should remain in the City Master plan regardless the timeline.

All the EA's for all lines expansion and new ones have been done almost 10 years ago, if not more, except Bathurst St from Fort York to the QQ and Fleet intersection.

Been 4 years since the Reset was started and still nothing to show other some 30% design for the Exhibition extension and funding over 10 years as of 2019 for QQE extension and Union Loop.

An EA will have to take place for the Lake Shore ROW from Legion Rd to Humber Loop and only after the Master Plan for Mr Christie Lands is approved, when it should happen by now.

Took another 35 years to get another approval to build the Yonge Line after it was approved in 1910 to only have the Mayor saying it will not be built.

Like I stated, I known about the Legion extension since 2007, but never follow it since it was outside my photographing area until the condos on the Lake Shore construction stated. Still didn't follow it as well the condos north of the Lake Shore. Not surprise on the time frame from the approval to now for the Legion extension.

Got to keep the Consultations busy as well various City departments to do the over and over recycling studies as well pushing it down the road so it doesn't happen on their watch including finding the money to pay for it.

Most studies are done by the car folks who see cars as #1 and transit #3. Then they come up with the wrong technology and under build it at the end of the day. A 15 minute train ride from Park Lawn to Union Vs the 45-60 current streetcar ride would be great for the folks in those condos today. Then, not everyone is going to Union, but other areas in Toronto and the 905. Is there any plans to do that???? Don't think so.

Another example why we are 40-50 years behind Europe in building transit systems at all levels, including high speed trains.

Which 4 streetcar lines did the city remove from the plan?

So there was a plan at the city at some point to build a line along the Queensway? Where, from Humber Loop to Sherway?
Yep, as well on Kipling

A streetcar ROW on Kipling? Are there any links to these proposals? Why were they buried? They are clearly needed for the future network of this city.

Kipling is in the car-oriented Etobicoke. If the Councillors can veto requests for residential sidewalks, a streetcar or light-rail would be filed under "G", or take decades to implement.

South of the Queensway and going north of the CP overpass will not support an ROW. There are no links to these plans/ideas
