At the announcement Tuesday, Bradshaw also highlighted changes to the company's successful youth ticket programs, including the banking of 120 tickets per performance specifically for opera fans aged 19-29, student groups and rush seating the day of the performance.

Opening celebrations will begin next June, with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 11 followed by a series of concerts, tours and fundraising events to introduce

I see that Yannick Nezet-Seguin will be conducting the COC orchestra in 'Faust' next season. The TSO were electrifying when he conducted them in Shostakovich 5th last season so this should be a real treat. I hope the new house will bring much success - and a few "big names" to headline their productions. It'd make a change from all the eastern Europeans Bradshaw has been obliged to bring on board lately.
 
The COC website also promises a "themed series of free lunchtime and early evening concerts" - presumably in the City Room.
