So I needed a laser printer for the kid’s university and I thought about the Anywhere but Amazon movement, and considered non-US sources for my printer. But I couldn’t think of any Canadian-owned electronics stores that ship to me. Staples, Best Buy, Egg, etc, are all US firms, and i might as well buy from Amazon. I did find https://www.pccanada.com/ but their 1990’s look website has sketch all over it.

Canada Computers is Canadian. They have local stores and will ship.

There's Canada Computers:

Canada Computers has the reputation of being the Canadian equivalent of some American electronics retailers such as MicroCenter, which is known for its deep discounts.

I try to give them business as much as possible, as these types of electrics stores seem to be a dying breed and I don't think Canada will be well-served by a monopoly of Amazon/Staples/etc.

There is also Memory Express, a Western Canadian outlet that had expanded over to Ontario. I still buy stuff from Canada Computers, but they have unfortunately picked up the bad trend of "bundling" popular/hot items with less popular ones.

Don't know about pccanada.com but https://www.pc-canada.com/ is legit. Or buy directly from the manufacturer like brother.ca. It's not like any printers or computers are actually made-in-Canada anyhow.
