Used to be a regular visitor to the Newtonbrook Bowlerama. A late night of bowling and video games; those were the days.

Besides, it's not the plaza that sticks out like a sore thumb(s) in those pictures IMO.

my mom's place is on drewry, and oh yes the plaza is definitely the eyesore. well the white office building to the south is pretty ugly too.

Yup, the same here. My friends and I would 'hang out' there many a nights. I remember when there was a Consumers Distributing in that plaza way back in the day......oh how I used to love flipping through their catalogues looking at all the toys.
Memories. I went to Drewry Public school and spent a lot of time at the bowlerama though mainly playing pinball and video games.
