Amazing song by a great band. Ian Thornley (singer/guitarist) is from Toronto and the rest of the band is from Boston; or at least the original lineup was.

There could probably be a thread for hip-hop alone.

Drake is Toronto's biggest star internationally so far and probably will be for a while (not including Rob Ford).
As mentioned previously, Started from the Bottom is the most obvious Toronto music vid, and was very overtly a tribute to Toronto. There's nothing that says "Canadian rapper" like rapping through a snow blizzard on the streets of Forest Hill lol. There's also Headlines which features the sky dome.

Here are a few more (seem I can't embed more than one vid)
Not sure what the song at the intro to this vid is:

Shots of early 2000's Dundas Square under construction:

Check the OR featuring Tom Green was filmed in Jane & Finch, even though OR means Ottawa Region and they're from Ottawa:

Not a Toronto rapper but filmed here, Rick Ross - Devil in a new dress

Finally here's a CBC documentary on Canadian hip hop :)

There are many more videos (Choclair?).
Toronto hip hop producers are recently becoming very successful (producing for Eminem, Jay Z for example). http://www.thestar.com/entertainmen...ts_ontario_teen_wondagurl_on_new_album.h tml

As Toronto grows as a city it also grows more confident in its ability to project our culture and pride/identity.

This isn't a video, but the album cover is curious (as it references to Toronto's CBD). I wonder how/why these specific buildings were chosen for the album art.

This song is just ethereal and sexy. The guy's phrasing is the greatest, out of any living guitarist.

This song is being used by CBC for the Olympic coverage:
