Most over-used words 2008, arrgh!

I say "film" but my father is from England.

Anyways, one expression I can't stand (even though I catch myself using them sometimes) is "a whole nother", instead of saying "a whole other" or whatever the proper phrase would be. Haha.

I've heard people in their 70s and older say "picture" - going to see a picture - when they meant a movie.

What happens when it all goes digital?

probably "elite film"

And some less than 70 say pictures. Is it still okay if I say I recently saw a good flick? BTW, if you do want to see an excellent flick, check out Slumdog Millionaire. What an excellent film!

Epic Fail!!
I must have said that 7 million times already!! LOLOL

I think "deck" was highly overused at my school. I mean deck as in punch, like: I'm gonna deck you in the face. I was so annoyed by that!!

er, is that a movie or a film?

It's dreck.

Most overused words of the year, "amazing" and in the media, "maverick".

Psssst! CNN says "film" (referring to those magical moving picture images).

Get ready to grit you teeth as no doubt you'll be hearing this word constantly for the first quarter of 2009.

24/7

drives me crazy. For some reason more so when "uptight" types like newscasters use it. But annoying in any context.
