At least they only stuck to their own buildings rather than going anywhere they feel. Cute.

I'm not defending graffiti as disfigurement; more as an "aesthetic", i.e. its fundamental parameters haven't changed in some 30 years or more--i.e. if those signs were 80s graffiti-style , they'd still look vaguely "current"...
 
Does anyone know what this fantastic little building is for? A ventilation shaft or electrical substation?

Great minds think alike. I'd consider demolishing that addition for a taller tower set back from the landmark original building to restore the symmetry, ensure there's enough space between the new tower and the original building to maximize the original's aesthetic impact, and obviously to make money.
