Montreal: New Baseball Stadium

GW: After more thought if that new ballpark on Isle St. Helene can be constructed in a manner that would protect it from any potential
flood intrusion such as building protective walls or making the field level high enough it may be a very interesting site for a new MLB park
remembering that some important links like bridges and a Metro station are nearby...

CC: Could a similar site be found today for Labatt Park in that same area with the original site area being already developed?
Could this be built on Isle St. Helene as GW notes?

Another thought: How much extra would a retractable roof cost for this new stadium?

Here is where the Montreal Baseball Project (http://montrealbaseballproject.com/english/) people want to put their stadium

CC: Interesting site here...for a future MLB ballpark...

I noticed the proximity to Central Station in this proposal...

A thought could be a new station/terminal for electrified Deux-Montagnes trains next door - the line next to the stadium at a curve might present a problem though...
Other AMT commuter rail lines that serve Central Station could also serve this location...

Will there be any parking facilities included in this plan?

Interesting that this proposal is largely contingent on the reconfiguration of the Bonaventure Expressway, because the site of the ballpark is today right where the expressway curves. Could be a very interesting redevelopment, but it's contingent on a lot of things.
