^^Lots of really tall antenna masts in Pic #4. Must be trying to catch Buffalo.
Interesting to see a couple of guys working a double-ended cross cut saw on what looks like a decking timber in the 1950 shot.Yonge & Wellington

RE: Boy Scouts troop photo on Yonge St and Chatsworth? Is that the photo taken in the late 1930s with the old Lawrence Park Manor apt building in the background?Hi -
I hope someone interested in the history of the Glenview, Glengrove and Glencairn neighbourhood will see this message! I'm brand new to this forum and I couldn't figure out how to start a new thread, so I'm replying to an old message. I discovered a couple of photos posted here (I think by Mustapha) and now I can't find them -- one showed a troop of boy scouts or cubs on Yonge Street between Glenview and Chatsworth, the other showed a street (I think it was Glenview Ave. in the 1940s with reference "City of Toronto Archives Fonds 1231, Item 1816" (or it might be 1516 or 1616, I can't be sure of my own writing!)
Many thanks to anyone who can help.
Interesting shots but you really need to have an old and new photo of same scene to meet 'obligations' of this great thread.Sorry if this has been posted here before, but I though it would be cool to share

Though it looks much older, the church on the right was actually constructed in 1950 on top of the former beltline right-of-way.
