Miscellany Toronto Photographs: Then and Now

Hi all,

I was in the area last week checking out the new Harborfont digs... couldn't go without a few "Thens" in the back pocket. Thought I would share... :)

It looks very like the south west corner of Kensington and St Andrew in Kensington Market before the store built an extension onto the sidewalk but ....

I wonder if it's not a different neighbourhood, such as Cabbagetown, or Little Italy.

Does anyone remember the half-built, and then abandoned building on this site at the N/W corner of Don Mills and Mallard? I believe it was to be the offices for an "eye doctors' association." Finally demolished and redeveloped in 2013 as a business court.

Interesting. I didn't know about that abandoned structure. Thanks for posting. That would have been a good site for the new Don Mills Arena.
