On one hand losing Chorley Park is a shame, on the other hand it's now a public park which is a good use for the land.

For all the banner signage, it's remarkable how intact (and presumably authentically "appreciated") Faberge/GLB is after all these years--even the wiggly brown brick wall by the entrance vestibule remains intact...

Fagersta is a city in Sweden with a strong mining and metallurgical tradition. I imagine that was a subsidiary of the modern Fagersta Stainless AB.

The Royal Canadian Military Institute was built on the W. side University Ave in 1907.
Seen here at the right side of this 1931 photo.

The RCMI recently arranged for a huge condo to rise above the original building (426 University).

Was it actually built as CNH? They look more like private homes that were taken over and 1918 City Directory has families living there..
