Hi - new member here, though I have been lurking for some time. I made these a couple of years ago intending to join and post then, but life has been very busy.

I believe these were taken from the same place - the roof of the building I worked in at the time, shown below. Now shots taken May 2012.

Welcome - and thanks - great additions! I do believe your second set are in the right spot, as railroad tracks used to bisect that block, which led to that strange angle (as shown in the post preceding yours).

Yes - I took another at a higher angle over the parking booth at the time showing the angle of the building to the south. The railway frontages to this day affect the properties, as shown in the lower left corner of the previous post, to the left of the highlighted area. There is a noticeable rise in the parking lot to the south where the last railway line ran through.

When I took the set from the rooftop, I also took one downward showing the remains of the spur line that used to feed the Steele-Briggs building. Having passed there recently I noticed they were now covered over, possibly removed.

I later did another then and now from the other side of the bridge. I just wish the yellow barriers had not been blocking the view of the exposed tracks...

what an awesome shot... please tell us how you got up there, are you involved in the reno

No, but I'm a graduate of U of T's School of Architecture and had the pleasure of being taken on a tour last week. The entire complex will be extraordinary. Here's another pic I took:

A magnificent viewpoint from which to capture Spadina.
Please repeat that view for us every few years.
The changes will be surprising - and the window may be cleaner, too.
