Miscellany Toronto Photographs: Then and Now

I looked into it; some unfathomable stuff about 'Javascript'. Oy.

Hi, not being technical geek myself, I managed to use this technique thanks to this tutorial: http://bavotasan.com/2009/creating-a-jquery-mouseover-fade-effect/ , so I wouldn't say it's unfathomable :).
I don't know if it would be possible to use this script on this forum though.

Anyway, thanks for visiting my rephotography blog.

Hi stefbra,

I hope to emulate you someday; I've bookmarked that link.

Thank you for creating it.

All my best from Toronto,

Mustapha.

Sometimes you can come across a bit of Toronto history unexpectedly. I was on my way to dinner on Spadina Avenue when I saw this house. This is Cecil street, south side, between Beverley and McCaul. I can't read these signs but what wonderful preserved relics of Toronto's early Jewish heritage. My kudos to the owner of that house for preserving them. And those doors. Man 'o man those doors; I'm weak kneed just looking at them again. :)

I also include a picture of a great old vintage bus that sped by me as I was taking a picture of the house. Krispy Kreme will soon open a location on McCaul, just north of Dundas. Their baked goods are exceptional, in the opinion, and to the eventual physical detriment of, this writer. :)

June 12 addition.

Market street looking S from Front towards Esplanade.

This building has been vacant for at least 15 years. I wonder what's up? Another branch of The Fish Market still does business in Ottawa's Byward market.

Reviving a 3 year old thread to add an updated picture. I hope everyone had a good Canada Day. :)
