Miracle on Yonge (Richmond Hill Centre, Pemberton, 2x 12s, Rafael & Bigauskas)

Meanwhile - thanks for all the photos Klieg - keep'em coming!

You're welcome :)

Here are some more pics from today. Construction appears to have reached ground level for the west building, with the east building following closely behind.

Construction for Building A has reached the fourth floor, while work continues on the third floor for Building B. The entrance for the shared lobby is also starting to take shape, as seen below.

I just received a letter from Pemberton yesterday that the tentative occupancy date has been delayed ... once again ... to September 2012. My unit is on the 6th floor of Building A. They've already finished the 4th floor, do they really need another 13mths to finish building the remaining 8 storeys, enclose, pull all the piping and utilities, and finish the interior?!

Yes they do .... and you just listed everything that takes the time to complete ~ :)

its pretty common for typical condos to take 2.5 to 3 years from sales to occupancy .... in my case it is taking 4 years due to the size of the building

Wow, sorry to hear that. That's quite a delay.

I wonder if they've decided to start occupying both buildings at the same time, as Building B's occupancy is set to begin next July. At least, that's what they were saying a few weeks ago...

There's been a lot of progress on this site lately, with Building A now at the seventh storey, and Building B at floor six. Here are some pics from Saturday:

Building A has reached the 11th floor, while Building B is at the 9th. Exterior brickwork has begun on the west side of Building A, and looks very similar to the renderings that have been released thus far.

As of October 10th, Building A had more or less topped out at 12 storeys, with work beginning on the 11th floor of Building B. There were a lot more bricks this time around, as well :)

Both buildings have now reached a full 12 storeys. There are also a few windows that have appeared on the north side of Building A.

Train Tracks

Hello,

Does anyone think there might be issues with noise from the train tracks to the west of Building A?

When I was shopping around and came across this development in Spring2010, I also wondered about the noise. so I visited a few times when there were trains going past, both Go and CN. Since there's a Go stop and a fairly-used train crossing @ Langstaff rd, trains slow down and aren't too noisy.
