Fantastic images - man, do I ever miss Barcelona!

Alchemist, you beat me to it - I was going to say downtown Toronto needs more of this:

Hey - what do Madrid and Barcelona have that the industrial park in Etobicoke that I'm sitiing in right now doesn't have?

Oh yeah, pretty much everything!

Every trip I make to Europe makes me question how we managed to screw up this continent so badly, and I do know that we live in one of the very best cities in this hemisphere, but still, you just cannot look at those Madrid or Barcelona pictures with wanting to be there, instead.

When Franco was in charge there may have been times when would have preferred being in an industrial park in Etobicoke though. When I visited Barcelona in 1979, for instance, homosexuality was illegal ... though of course admiring Gaudi's buildings wasn't.

Nice, MAdrin and BArcelona are definitely on my list of cities to visit. Not a big fan of Gaudi but obviously there is a plethora of amazing architecture there. On the modern front I really like that Nouvel tower as well.
