Looking to open a good family run Submarine shop

Did you guys know that Toronto's own Mr. Sub got deeply involved in the Jack Abramoff scandal down in the States and was then assassinated by the mob?

I think it might be good to have a variety of optional toppings available, even if you just have one or two basic types of sub.

LOTS of topping options def.....I want to slice the meat as ordered unlike mr sub and subway do up here.....is that normal for all sandwich shops up here to have it all pre sliced?? i want a variety of meats and cheeses..... but simple

And as for the submarine races--I dunno, maybe Cherry Beach, Scarborough Bluffs or somewhere...

Any Suggested hours?

would it be a feasible schedule of hours
Mon 11-7
tues 11-7
wed 11-7
thurs 11-7
friday 11-11
saturday 11-11
sunday closed

??? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

this is for richmond and spadina area.....

Church and Bloor Street

good area for a submarine sandwich shop?? sorry i started a new post but it looked like people stopped reading the other one and i wanted some feedback on this area

I think that if you want to be open for dinner hours, you have to have some pretty interesting ingredients available - - - slicing the meat on the spot is a great idea, but if I could only get average, same-as-everywhere else toppings at your sub place, it would not get me to wander in other than at the lunch hour. I think that Quizno's knows this better than anybody, yet both they and Subway have to offer special deals after 4 PM to get people in their doors. Meanwhile, Mr. Subs are just closing their doors for good as far as I can tell.

I saw a few places for rent that I liked..... Queen West(but i see MR. SUB closed its doors) bad sign? or maybe a need for a good submarine shop?? I was thinking like Q bar or Rotate this.....both are quite big....is it a bad area? Ive been to Subway, Mr Sub, Belly Buster Submarines every single submarine sandwich shop is horrible up here.....I am from New Jersey my wife is here for school and we are immigrating in the fall......any feedback would be greatly appreciated.....another spot was across from sneaky dee's on college street..this place is 1000 sq feet w a basement and back patio......please let me know what you think.

Cheers,

Rich ReFalo

The Q bar is being renoed into a Tim Hortens. There's a Starbucks opening across the street.

If you can find some good real estate on this corner, I think you'll be busy. The Pizza Pizza is always busy day and night. I live not far from there and think that a Subway would be great. I'd go there.

Sandwich box is amazing. I didn't know they opened one across from CityTV. I've been going to the one on Richmond near Bay.

RE: Richmond & Spadina

The SE corner is cursed, the NE corner is pretty successful (though you'd be beside Jules [french], and Fusaro's [italian])

SW corner has a Lettuce, and some other food place I've never been inside.

NW corner is a starbucks

I work in the area, and we're always on the lookout for new places to eat. There really aren't THAT many good places within walking distance of Wellington.
