My father is the "Botiuk" in "Botiuk v Toronto Free Press et al" which the Supreme court considered at the same time, and I think mentioned in "Hill v Scientology." I think they are in the same DLR. (Case book) My father's case ended up at the Court of Appeal in Ontario - so it may be in the DLR's twice. The Supreme Court decision is more famous - and was mentioned in 'Hill', I think. Or they discussed a pending case in Hill, which was my father?s. The court considered liable law in those 2 cases.
Sopinka was a lawyer for one of the ?et al?s - so he could not sit on my father?s case when he came to the bench (At the supreme Court). But, he did help decide Hill. Too bad Sopinka died.
