There's one on Augusta, to be surrounded by Tridel's Alexandra Park redevelopment:

3544 Hurontario Street near SQ1

Not really sure this is a holdout - more like a site waiting to be developed. I would say holdouts are sites that held out 'too long' and are now surrounded by other buildings that may make any redevelopment difficult. I put the Tom Jones Steak House in this category as it has a small footprint and will soon be totally hemmed-in by 65 King. (Which will cover the ex-parking lots to its north and east.

This house at the SE corner of Broadway & Redpath Ave (Yonge & Eg area) is a holdout from the CityLights on Broadway development by Pemberton:

Looks like this house on Augusta Ave just south of Paul Lane Gardens could be a holdout from the SQ2 development townhouse component by Tridel:

It's actually a holdout from the original Alexandria Park public housing project in the 1960's that was never integrated into the redevelopment scheme. So a double holdout!

May have been like that for a while but noticed there's a commercial space for lease sign on the 207 McCaul Street building:

Who would want to live like that?? Just take the fucking money. Sheesh.
There are many reasons, some of which could be sentimental, like if someone's family has been there for 3-4 generations etc.
Money is only a part of it. The properties could share ownership and one party doesn't agree etc. etc.
We don't know their personal reasons
