The City of Mississauga is updating its off-street parking regulations under the Zoning By-law. On Tuesday, September 14, the City will host a virtual community and stakeholder meeting to get feedback on the proposed directions included in the City’s Parking Regulation Study.

“Off-street parking regulations” refer to the amount of vehicle and/or bicycle parking required on private and public properties as a result of new development, redevelopment, building expansion or a land use change. Changes would not affect existing buildings or homes. This study does not include recommendations on-street parking policies or municipal parking lots.

What:
Virtual community and stakeholder meeting on the proposed changes to parking regulations for new developments

When:
Tuesday, September 14 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Who:
Mississauga residents
Business owners
Developers, including residential and commercial
Members of Council
City’s Planning and Building staff

How:
Register and participate in the virtual community meeting
Starting September 15, view the September 14 presentation and provide comments

The Parking Regulations Study is a key action from the City’s Parking Master Plan and Implementing Strategy (PMPIS). The study is also implementing key actions from the Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Strategy, 2018 and bicycle parking requirements in the City’s Zoning By-law noted in the 2018 Cycling Master Plan.
