Well aware of no accessibility platform for the station as none existed when I used to drop off and pickup the wife when we bought our first house in Lakeview a number of decades of go. Had the kids with me when picking up the wife that the kids became excited when the train pull in.The booths are for the station attendants who have been assigned a larger role at Long Branch in ensuring each train executes door operations correctly. As such, station attendants need to be readily available to greet each train stopping at the station.
Long Branch is a non-accessible station and never had an accessible platform. The blue stripe in this instance acts as a visual indicator for the CSA to ensure that the train has stopped at the correct spot on the platform.
Cannot why ML will not put a wooden platform like they do for other stations being rebuilt??
Understand the booth after seeing the number of staff on the platforms.
