Finch West Line 6 LRT

Going by signage I've seen, it's my understanding that Eglinton Crosstown LRT will run 24 hours, which surprised me. Now I'm even more surprised that Finch West LRT will not.:(

No reason why line 5 cannot be 7/24 from day one that will see long headway at night. if issues come up that requires a track or a sect of track taken out of service for work you still can run service in both directions on the same time with headway a little longer than night time service.

Does Line 6 have all night service today for buses??

Blue night 336 runs from Woodbine Racetrack to Yonge basically every 20 minutes 1:50-5am..

Do you mind linking the posts you've seen indicating Eglinton 24 hours? I'm surprised just to hear this, but also a smidge hopeful there is some truth to this.

Your understanding is incorrect. The TTC will continue to run overnight buses on Eglinton.
My bad. I saw signs at Don Valley station showing the station is open 24 hours. I presumed it was like the subway: when it's not running at night, the stations close, including surface vehicle platforms. (I could be wrong about that too, maybe some stations remain open at night, but none that I've seen.)

When I was a kid, I lived next to a streetcar line which ran day and night. Also when I was a kid, most of the TV and radio stations went off the air at night. There was almost no traffic on the roads after midnight. Restaurants like McDonalds did not stay open all night. Services were minimal because almost nobody stayed up at night. As urban areas grow, all that changes. Many more people have night jobs now, or have flexible hours, and they are up at night, including on their days off. I remember when the "blue night" service came in, which was a great idea, and I expected 24 hour service on the subway to be the next step. Many night buses run half an hour apart; I see no reason why the subway and LRTs can't do the same.

They need to service the tracks. Even in many large cities around the world don’t have 24 hour services for this reason. NYC being an exception.

Some stations are now open overnight in order to provide some limited amenities to the public. But they do have ways of preventing people from walking around into the areas that are to be closed off.

Don Valley being a fairly major bus connection point strikes me as being one of those stations that will fit that bill. Mount Dennis as well.

Métro de Queen seems like pure AI slop. The work of some youngin' intern perhaps.
Someone made it. Someone then had to approve it. Someone had to print it. Someone had to put it up. That's at least 3 additional people that missed it, if I'm characterizing that process correctly.
