EVCco, I'm certainly pleased that you've photographed that old East York Shoe Repair store-front.
It was in business in the 1930s, but has been closed for more than 50 years *** I may have exaggerated......closer to 30-40 years!.

Well spotted (and photoed) Goldie - 10,000 bonus points to you!
Its amazing the window paint held up all these years - or, at least half of it did, now. I presume the building must have stayed in family hands long after the business closed? Or the new owners just liked the way it looked... (ps: for anyone still wondering, all but 3 of the bonus pics above are within walking distance from that erstwhile shoe repair shop).

Finally, rounding off my collection, here's a bit of light at the end of the tunnel, with a few facadescapes that kept some sky/roofline in the picture:
