With the work week ending, our friends took us to see Strasbourg. Took us about 2.5 hours to get there by car and that's driving on the autobahn.
I really admire the Europeans parking garages. The outside always blends into the surroundings, the floors are painted, and they have plenty of space for bicycles.
Going in the city, we mostly spent all our time in Petite-France.
Strasbourg Cathedral.
Looking on the catherdral from Rue Mercière.
REALLY good food. This is one of their traditional foods. It's basically really thin flatbread, some sort of sauce (maybe sour cream), ham, bacon, and onion all baked in the oven.
This was a delicious mix of meat (forget which), ham, and potatoes with melted Munster cheese. This was also served with a huge bowl of salad. Oh, and a glass of beer of course.
We then took a boat cruise which showed the city beautifully.
This is part of the European Parliament area.
One of the main tram stations.
Look, it's a Bombadier.
As we walked back to the car, there was this interesting art piece.
The next post will be the last which includes pictures of Ulm.
