Totes. Ever since this new Vbulletin forum started, some people are obsessed with having a better skyline than Chicago, being a bigger city than Chicago and having a higher post count than Chicago.

Being 100% serious all the time is not always 100% excitment.
 
I always thought that on ezboard there are a lot of wackos who simply posted anything in order to get their post counts up. Listen here fellows, no one cares how many times you've posted, in the words of William Shatner, get of your parent basement and "get life".
 
^ Indeed. If the only reason you're here is to get up to 1,000 posts, or whatever number, I have to express my condolences that your life is apparently a bit empty. I for one am not the least bit impressed by such counts. I'm certainly more impressed by a well-thought-out post which extends a discussion or contributes some new information which I had not previously known.

I could name one or two other forums where the posting of drivel is all too common, and I don't really go to those sites any more. I have usually found discussion on this site to be of a higher quality.
 
Posts doesn't mean anything. Any monkey can post. I'm more insulted by being called a Member when I hit 50 posts. Why would I want to be referred to as a phallus, err, member.

As far as I recall, the guy doesn't care about number of posts, but the
word newbie under his name. You should allow everybody to choose and decide
what to put under their name, as it is the case in other similar forums.
