Entertainment District Projects

More to add to the list, watch for rezonings coming up:

1)306-310 Adelaide St W sold (these are that row of dingy Victorians on NE corner of Adelaide&Widmer) details of the listing w/ info:
http://gitalis.com/properties/306310adelaide.pdf

There have been a couple extremely short-lived businesses in those two middle houses with the ugly new home depot doors over the past year or so (I think there was a hair / nails salon and also a very brief variety store?).

Meanwhile, Khao San Road, the great new Thai restaurant next to RaviSoups in the former Waterfall Martini Lounge (which was a horrible, ridiculous failure -- appeared on Restaurant Makeover and closed shortly after, lol), has line-ups out the door and 30-40 minute waits every day.

From the 12th floor of the Hyatt on King, looking north. I think this is the most appropriate thread since it looks on many of the future projects we can expect to see from this vantage point this decade :)

List and map on first page updated with 15 Mercer Street (49s) and 263 Adelaide Street (35-45s).

Time for another edit:

1)525 Adelaide St W is now a Great Gulf project--they also bought the Pace Condos site from same owner.

2)The Adelaide Residences by Pinnacle--phase 2, 16s to go on site of sales centre.

3)Allied Reit's King&Peter future office tower(s) project.

4)111 Bathurst St

Sync Lofts is on Queen E, not anywhere near the ED.

Just rumours Urban dreamer or do you know who purchased 111 Bathurst and 525 Adelaide? I havent found anything on either of these anywhere.

306-322 Richmond St W closed to Monarch group for $20.8mm - 15,638 SF piece of land

From my twitter feed today: by @JShamess

That was the former Gansevoort Condotel, TAS , 35s, Teeple site.
Looks like Monarch now is into the game in the Entertainment District...but 20.8 million dollars, Wow..expect a larger 157 meter proposal for this site.

Here's a quick video I did in Google Earth showing the entertainment district projects. The camera pans along queen street facing south, starting at Spadina. This area will be completely unrecognizable soon. Enjoy :)

Hey Mongo, a bunch more to add ...81 Peter, 49s....Picasso (306-318 Richmond), 39s.....283 Adelaide St. west (Pinnacle-2), 40s
15 Mercer street, 49s.....156 Front street, 65s......43 Simcoe st. 54s,......:)

Yes, the existing map is out of date. Unfortunately I am away on business all weekend, so it will be a while before I can update. But when I get back, it will be on my to-do list.

That's a great video! Talk about density - I can't wait to see all the development once it's done. Here's hoping the East side continues to grow as well.

At the end of the video, there's a whiteish building left of the Sheriton Ctr. What's that?

Here is an updated version of the map, with the numbers indicating heights in metres (the red numbers indicate heights that I estimated using floor counts). Grey indicates completed buildings, orange indicates buildings under construction, and green indicates proposed buildings. Only residential / hotel buildings are shown, not office buildings.
