wow, pretty long list... not sure why completed projects were included in there? Hadnt heard much about Quay West at Tip Top, though had noticed in some recent pics that the lot to the south of Tip Top lofts had been cleared. This one should have some serious impact on the Lakeshore!

As a map nut I'm appalled that you didn't post this graphic that was included with the article. :p

21. Bohemian Embassy Lofts

Spring 2008! Wow they'll need to move fast as they've only just begun demo on site. I know only purchasers, area residents and us urban geeks would be the only ones to catch errors like this. It makes me wonder just how many outdated and false facts actually fill the papers each day on issues I'm clueless about.

There are several inaccuracies that I see too but the listing and map dramatically illustrate the rapid growth in the central area of the city. Good post.

Those millionaires spending $400,000 on a Pier 27 pad will kick themselves once they figure out how much more they could've blown by heading slightly north and buying a place up in the sky at Panorama, or Parade, or Montage, or Luna ...

32. Railway Lands 1
Units: 300 condominium units

34. 18 York (office tower)
Floors: 32; Units: 800
Completion: 2010
54. One City Hall — Tower II
Floors: 50; Units: 341 condos and 266 hotel rooms
Completion: Proposed
56. Bay-Adelaide Centre, West/East/North Tower
Floors: 50 / 43 / 49;
Units: (offices) / 100 / 253
Completion: July, 2009/2011/2013

18 York, One City Hall Tower II, and Bay Adelaide North Tower have all been around for a few months. I have the entries on the 400 foot list (including an old sketch of One City Hall).
I'm not sure if either #32 or #33 is the listed 351 Lake Shore East.

The list really emphasizes just how crazy this town is for condos.

18 York, I assume is the Great West Life development? If so, I remember the rendering not showing more than 20 stories max.

That map must have taken some time to create. Extremely impressive. I'd like if UrbanToronto has something similar, but it'd be a constant struggle to keep it fresh and accurate.

I have it listed at 26, not sure if that needs updating.

It makes me wonder just how many outdated and false facts actually fill the papers each day on issues I'm clueless about.

I know this is off-topic, but that's never stopped anyone before.

I am aware of a number of incidents where what was reported in the papers bore little or no resemblance to what was told to me by people who were there. Examples would be demonstrations where the people there (not only participants but also bystanders) tell me that tens of thousands of people participated, while the papers report 'a few hundred' people. It's obvious that the reporters (or editors) know who issues their paychecks, and are perfectly willing to distort the facts to fit their masters' agendas.

Bill

I hope Adam Giambrone sees that map, and begins to wonder why the TTC has no plans to improve rapid transit south of Bloor.
