Despite all the young A-list celebs in the city for the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend, Saturday's hottest party is a 60-year-old's birthday bash.

But it's not for just any sexagenarian. Former U.S. president Bill Clinton is celebrating his 60th at the swanky Fairmont Royal York hotel.

More than 600 guests from around the world are expected to attend the dinner -- which reports say costs as much as $200,000 a plate. With the hefty price tag, attendees can expect some high-class entertainment.

Expected to perform are Billy Crystal, Sarah McLachlan, James Taylor, Time McGraw and Lenny Kravits.

After the party it is reported that Clinton will join Prime Minister Stephen Harper and attend a party for the Haitian documentary "Ghosts of Cite Soleil" at Premier Lounge, hosted by Wyclef John.

Saturday's birthday bash is expected to raise $2.5 million for the Clinton Foundation.

One of the charity's main causes is to provide affordable AIDS treatment in Africa.

Clinton, whose actual birthday was on August 19, will be holding another birthday party next month in New York.

The former U.S. president made headlines last week with his much publicized battle with ABC over an upcoming 9/11 miniseries.

ABC is facing growing pressure to cancel or change the docudrama after former Clinton officials presented the network with a petition with nearly 200,000 signatures.

With 600 guests, the crowd will be large enough that Stephen Harper and Belinda Stronach won't have to sit near each other. :)

Only this could overshadow some of the "A-list" TIFF parties in town this week.

I can see it now. Bill and Belinda on stage, declaring that they've done their part to prevent AIDS, i.e. they use all available protection, and as a result, they're HIV-negative
