Cell Phone Advice?

if you are already using rogers for cable and/or internet adding their cell phone service can get you a percentage discount on everything.

i assume bell is the same way.

I was with a friend, who is a Telus customer, and her phone rang while we were in the subway. And I don't mean street level stations, I mean dark tunnel.

My Rogers phone rang when I was in a subway car at Yonge/Bloor (Bloor Line) last night and the person on the other end heard me until the doors were closed - then the signal was lost.

Checked their website and could only find packages starting at 24$ / month.
Do you live in a building? Maybe you get cheaper rates when an entire building is served by them. I still don't know why my bill was so low, but I'm not complaining.

I have a cell phone and no landline and have found that it's worked perfectly for me. I have Telus and get great reception everywhere, including my apartment. I have a plan that gives me unlimited evenings/weekends from 6pm to 9am, and I'm not usually in my apartment outside of those hours anyways, so I don't need to worry about paying 30 cents a minute for going over my included minutes. Between my cell phone and Skype I have never wished that I had a landline as well. Like Chuck said, there's no problem with the enterphone, it works with or without a landline being activated.

Rogers uses 850, if you're going to go with just a cell phone I can't imagine any other network. Telus & Bell are just too sketchy in some places, Rogers invested in the best technology available and bidded a lot for the best frequency and now their customers are enjoying it.
