Wow Brampton has really changed a lot.
Even more than I realized just from looking at these maps.

And the routes have really changed, even in the past decade.

Time for more Züm services!

First, a branch of the 505 to Malton station.

Next, another branch of the 505 to Vaughan Mills (with summer service to Wonderland).

505 will get to Malton later this year......it will not be a “branch” it will be a re-routing if the N/S portion off of Goreway and onto Airport Road.

I would, strongly, oppose any branch to Vaughan Mills and see little value in a 505 to Wonderland.

501 is getting up there.. 18,000 makes it, what, the third busiest 905 bus route after Hurontario and Viva Blue? Another few years of growth like that and it will be competing with some of the busiest TTC routes. Definitely due for some dedicated lanes or LRT at ridership levels like that.

The Region of Peel's Affordable Transit program will officially be launched for Brampton Transit on May 1. Committee approved it today. 50% of adult and senior monthly passes for eligible low-income residents.

If you combine the local service with the Zum...

Queen is 26,000 riders per day
Main is 17,000
Steeles is 21,000

Very impressive. It takes a run at several streetcar lines in Toronto for ridership

I wonder how Mississauga routes compare (Hurontario, Dundas, Eglinton, etc).

I was kidding, but there should be at least a limited-service route across the Rutherford-Castlemore corridor now.
