Different location from the supposed Starbucks store. This is 131 Bloor W, the Starbucks is at 110 Bloor W. I still don’t know what’s happening there …

Someone approved spending good money on that facade. They should be looking for a different line of work.

Walking by the YSL store and into Winners on Bloor, I can’t help but notice the stench (in my opinion) that is coming from Jaybird. It reeks the whole building complex.

Also, Paris Baguette is opening next to the Winner’s entrance.

Someone approved spending good money on that facade. They should be looking for a different line of work.

When I saw the picture, I thought it was just the light that made it look like brutalist concrete panels, it was probably some beige/golden-ish vertical slats. I walked by to check it out this afternoon - yup, brutalist concrete panels. Probably could win an award for the ugliest YSL store facade in the world if there was such a thing.

We've seen a (decidedly) minor Brutalist revival movement around the world in the past 5 years. It's on trend.

The relocated store will feature 24-foot ceilings on its second level in an office building that could be rebranded as the Tiffany Building.

I wonder if there will be a restaurant (similar to NYC). And I agree... Toronto is starting to see not just luxury open on Bloor, but truly global sized flagships.
