Thanks for the reviews. I have been thinking about getting a new mattress. Q. for the guys who bought and ends.. Did you get a new box spring too?

I bought the Endy.At first it felt a bit soft but after a few months my body got adjusted to it and am very happy with the mattress. The edges could be a little more stiff but the centre and head and feet areas are great.Does not retain heat and the chemical smell goes away after a few days of airing,

Looks like Sleep Country Canada is making a move to protect its market dominance

This is getting pathetic. What Casper and Endy tried to do by making mattress shopping easy has now turned into a market flooded with companies trying to do the same thing, in the process, creating a new confusing experience for shoppers with multiple options all claiming to be the best.

Sounds exactly like what they didn't want to be.

Sounds exactly like what the free market is supposed to do. Unless you have a marketable patent, you have to expect a flood of copycat start-ups and especially established market leaders to quickly rise up and flood the market. The winners are those that can capture market share and generate cash flow to either make a profit or attract a venture capitalist investor, those that can't will fold or be acquired.

Not everyone who has a great ideas gets the benefit of Amazon's start up, when all the established department stores and big players essentially ignored them until it was too late.

I'm not so sure what the issue is with having more competition. Competition is always good. I was riding the subway recently and also saw an ad of another mattress brand based on of Toronto called Silk and Snow.

It appears they have been getting a lot of good reviews.

Looks like ENDY's mattresses no longer have the gel-infused upper layer since April 2018:

ENDY's website hasn't been updated to reflect that.

Both Casper and Bloom come in more mattress varieties, including budget mattresses.

Looks like I'm going to buy a new mattress at Foamite instead.

The market is starting to weed out the weaker and smaller players through acquisition.

Sleep Country just bought Endy.

I assume that takes either Bloom or Endy out of the market.
Good thing I bought an ENDY mattress slightly over a month before the announcement. I had the suspicion that some company would purchase ENDY that is not necessarily Sleep Country (I even thought Casper might purchase it).
