Babe Ruth Park at Hanlan's Point?

Here's a thought - since Babe is supposed to have hit his first homer in the former stadium on Hanlan's, does anyone else think a community baseball field (not a stadium - just a plain diamond and some low rise bleachers maybe) would possibly be a low cost tourist attraction for baseball fans?

Apparently ex Jay David Wells is a huge Babe collector - if his name was behind it it might get some media.

I wouldn't get David Wells to be a spokesperson for such a project. He called Toronto fans "silent, "surly, cluelessly negative" and says he'd rather "play for hell" than the Jays. I'd rather see somebody like Carlos Delgado do it- he's a slugger, and he's still a fan favourite in Toronto even though he plays for New York. I heard that he was involved in building community ballparks during his time in Toronto.
