Attack in Canada 'now probable': CSIS report

This thread is becoming yet another example of one which is not only descending to personal attacks, but is seriously off topic.

90% of the people on this forum have a real serious attitude problem. I am more embarrased by many of you guys, then myself. Because deep down I know myself that I am good guy that cares about my city, people, etc. And I don't need some guys on a internet forum who think they are some superior form of citizen, telling me what I am like. I will go by the people I actually know for their opinion on me.

Then go bye-bye.

You all got a chip on your shoulder with me when I made the comment about gay people sleeping around to much. And ever since then you have all been out there to get me at any point you can. Just because my views are different sometimes from yours.

Can I remind you that you personally condemned the entire gay community? And then you wonder why people have a problem with your posts.

Aside from the poor writing/grammar/spelling, your posts are often ignorant and arrogant, and unfortunately you have a tendency to regurgitate the same illogical arguments, indicating that you are either not listening to opposing viewpoint, not hearing it, or not able to understand it. This is the real reason people tend to have a bias toward your posts before you even press "submit".

You make your bed and then you lie in it...

I tried not to post in this thread mainly due to an infamous thread I started a while ago (I'm sure many of you still remember).

Needless to say, the only "terrorist attack" you'll see anytime soon on this continent will be in the USA, probably around July or August... It will of course be linked to Iran thus giving the US grounds to go to war there. Incidents like this only give Mr Harper grounds for supporting Mr Bush when it comes time to send in the troops. The media will of course paint the picture that we're under attack, civil rights will once again be lost (maybe even to us Canadians) and thus huge military contracts awarded benefiting the likes of Mr Cheney, the Bush family, Mr Rumsfeld etc. (who do you think made the most profit off of Sept 11 after all???).

It's all smoke and mirrors, don't be affraid, just ask questions and demand answers.

wonderboy, you just might be right - what if these alleged Canadian terrorists are connected to that British group that has connections to an as-yet-undiscovered American sleeper cell planning the next 9/11-type attack?

Along the same lines, isn't it interesting how the U.S. all of a sudden homed in on al-Zarqawi right in the midst of a media frenzy over the possible Marines massacre. Really shifted the focus quite nicely. Mission accomplished...

Now, with the Bush presidency approaching it's end next year, the administration will need something to keep the focus on terrorism and the mid-East just in case they come up with the short end of the stick in 2008. A nice little "incident" this summer will fire up the anti-terror rhetoric once again and might carry the day for the Republicans come election time.

I hate to be the conspiracy theorist nut, but when it comes to this kind of stuff, it always seems to coincidental to be chance.

Dubya will be President until January 2009. We still have over 2.5 years of this man to endure.

Dubya is dumb, but not that dumb. America can barely handle Iraq and Afghanistan, they won't be starting anything with Iran, which would be much more difficult than those two countries. This is why Iran is playing hardball, they know that the US is in no position to do anything. It's also why the US is using "diplomacy" with Iran, they can't do anything else. On top of that, the American people have no appetite for another war and are increasingly sceptical of Dubya's motives. Iran's in the driver's seat thanks to the idiocy of monkey-boy.

You overestimate him...or is that under-estimate? Either way - he's waay stupider than he seems. You have to account for his team of idiots - Rummy, Rice, Cheney and the rest.

The US is quite capable of nuking Iran to glass, should they wish to do so. There isn't much Iran could do about it.

Given that, Iran is playing a VERY dangerous game.

Given that, Iran is playing a VERY dangerous game.

Considering the chances of the US "nuking Iran to glass" is virtually zero, they're not playing a very dangerous game at all. They're taking advantage of the current situation.

The U.S. will hardly be the only country that views Iran with a wary eye. Isreal, Russia, China and India will no doubt look upon Iran as a potential threat.
