So, family circumstances had me going back to The Motherland just 3 months after I had moved to the U.S.
Of course I had to pay my old college town a visit, and enjoy it's centuries old architecture, which I could really appreciate after 3 months in Florida, the land of strip malls and subdivisions.

Without further ado, here's the pics, taken on an ice cold November afternoon in Holland's 4th largest city:

Time for some refreshments. These Belgian beers were such a welcome relief from Bud Light.

Hope you enjoyed. An extensive Miami thread will follow suit soon.
Happy holidays! :)

Need to get me a place there. The doors leading out from the houses to the canal side are neat. Thanks.

Utrecht: A familiar name in Brooklyn...

Ronald: Good pics from what I will call Old Utrecht.
There is a section in Brooklyn,NY called New Utrecht-remember NYC has that Dutch ancestry - think "Breukelyn" the original Dutch-style spelling.

There is a High School there called New Utrecht HS-which became famous because of the 70s TV show "Welcome Back,Kotter" which featured it in the opening/closing film and the show took place there.
