Looks good, this is how our old commercial streets should ideally be evolving- less through large parcel redevelopment (wide!), but through many smaller intensification projects which retain multiple ownership + a finer grained urban fabric.

They made this applicant submit a Block and Context plan for a 6 storey main street infill... ?

This should be allowed as-of-right.

Certain councillors (and East End NIMBYs) love to say "I'm not anti-development, it just has to be the right kind of development", yet the City makes small scale, sensitive proposals like this jump through the same hoops as the large condo towers that they hate. Shouldn't we be rewarding developers who play along?
