730 St Clarens Avenue restoration (Akelius Properties, 23s, ArchDesign)

Ya I don't know. You all know I love colour. But I don't think this is good. This is pretty bad. Maybe if there was MORE colour and a more obvious deliberate palette. But honestly this just looks like st james town now. Where some people have take the liberty to paint their own balconies. Sure it creates a sense of vibrancy and energy. But it looks like a hot mess.
 
Oh man. The more I look at it the more certain I am that this is not good. They need to paint a lot more balconies in colour, if they want to pull this off.

I live in the neighbourhood and even though it's not a stylish renovation, it's infinitely better than the brown stucco. I'm pretty happy about the change.

I can't help but think some public art on the south facing wall would do wonders for the neighbourhood. Similar to the new mural on St. Clair?
 
colour block pattern using those colours and dimensions would look better too.
