Will there be direct access from the 401?

There might be a police-only gated exit from the detachment to 401 EB. They have that at Whitby and had it at the former Downsview detachments. There would be too many safety concerns to allow public direct access from the highway to the detachment. I would suspect normal public and police access will via Argentia. It's not like highway detachments get a lot of drop-in traffic.

New $20-million Mississauga OPP detachment officially opens

According to Jones, OPP officers at this detachment will oversee Highways 401, 403, 410 and the QEW in Mississauga as well as Halton Region. Construction on the facility started in 2019.
