I think the problem with Warren is that her team was very weak, and she got trapped in modern progressiveness's bubble of thought- which ultimately has little to do with most Americans' concerns. Imagine if the Warren on the campaign path was the Warren below?

IMO, a Biden presidency will be very much similar to John Tory's mayoralty- a relatively bland, safe figure who 'represents' a return to 'normalcy' and 'presidentiality'. It'll be considered like awaking from a nightmare, and reassuring yourself as if things never really happened.

The Washington consensus will be restored, the VP, Secretary of State, and the state departments will run the show, and US-China relationships will be restored to a pre-Trump state. Biden, assuming his role as public figurehead, will very much be heralded for his 'presidentialness', and will be considered the inverse of Trump in all areas.

But of course, the solution for one problem usually sets up the next problems- and like how Tory's tenure has led to many otherwise-fixable issues coming to a boil- the US's long-term domestic and international issues may very much not be fixed under a Biden presidency.
The issue is we assume biden bests trump.

IMO the winning strategy for Biden is to minimize his public appearances, and let the media do the talking for him. Bernie was too soft with Biden and the DNC, while also being unable to push back against the allegations made against him (i.e. Russia); even if his supporters didn't believe in them, it likely had an impact on the moderates and non-political voters.

Democrats and Their Media Allies Impugned Biden’s Cognitive Fitness. Now They Feign Outrage.
Glenn Greenwald March 9 2020, 12:23 p.m.
But, as the Democratic establishment has united with creepy speed and obedience behind Biden in order to stop the Sanders candidacy, those who now raise these concerns instantly come under a withering assault of insults and attacks from Democratic Party operatives along with their crucial media allies: thinly disguised pro-Biden reporters who continue to insist on wearing the unconvincing and fraudulent costume of neutrality. They are invoking the classic Orwellian formulation from the novel 1984: “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
The problem with all of this? Aside from the fact that Biden’s cognitive decline is visible to the naked eye and it is incredibly reckless and repressive to demand that it be supressed, these concerns were first raised not by Trump operatives nor by Sanders supporters, nor were they first raised within the last several weeks. Quite the opposite is true: they were raised repeatedly over the last year principally by Democratic Party officials and their most loyal allies in the media.
One of the earliest mainstream figures to raise serious questions about Biden’s cognitive decline was MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell immediately before the June, 2019 presidential debate. The long-time reporter, not exactly known as a Trump sympathizer to put that mildly, went on air amidst a series of rambling, incoherent Biden appearances and said: “the question is, does he still have his stuff? How sharp is he?,” prompting Chris Matthews to immediately understand her point and reply: “You know you’re answering the question with the question.”
The list of prominent political and media figures raising these concerns throughout 2019 is long and diverse. That this is some recently manufactured script — “coordinated” by the Sanders and Trump campaigns to smear Biden — is so laughably and provably false that pro-Biden reporters should be ashamed to show their faces as they claim it. But centrists — as they’ve proven since Trump’s presidency began — casually arrogate unto themselves the right to disseminate the most unhinged conspiracies without the need for any evidence and without the slightest regard for whether they are true.
Some are motivated by desperation to push Biden to the Oval Office and will sacrifice the truth, their integrity and their dignity to do it; others are power-flatterers who now see Biden as the new King of their royal court on which their wealth and access depends and so are re-writing their own history to delete what they said about him. Regardless of motive, it’s clear where these valid concerns about Biden’s cognitive decline originated: from within Biden’s own partisan establishment circles. The video and textual evidence is undeniable. When you hear them spin this lie, just confront them with this evidence. Most importantly, do everything possible to make sure voters see it before they pass the point of no return. Voting in democracy is valuable only when it is informed, not the by-product of elite deceit and propaganda.

Also, as it become increasingly clear that Biden will become the candidate- I wonder if this statement will cause problems in attracting Sanders's progressive crowd- or will they hold their noses and #votebluenomatterwho?

Yang endorses Biden- supporters are left divided!

Basically no paths left for Bernie, it's only a matter of time now... (unless he has the guts to go full temple-of-Sampson against Biden in the upcoming debate, but I doubt so).

Biden will likely now enter bunker mode (no more debates, few public appearances) for gaffe protection, while the DNC savors its victory over the Soc-Dems, calls for unity, and ponders its next moves.

All eyes now on the VP pick- who may very much become the President.

Biden/Harris?

I'm not one for Tinfoil hats and such...........but this process once again looks suspect. We could choose to call that incompetence or happenstance...........

But first you have Iowa..........where it takes days and days to count people in a very small state after here-to-fore untried software is deployed apparently without a trial run.

Then you have Massachusetts, where the exit polls don't match the result at all (more than 8 point spread) and there's zero trace-back ability in a non-paper ballot state.

Tonight we have Michigan.....where the line at one polling station primarily supporting Sanders is over 3 hours long......

This is just the primary.................

I find this all stretches credulity a bit fine.

Harris should be out of the picture after she been exposed as a person who claims to care about black people but used her time in office to throw them in jail to further her career.

You're presuming that the DNC actually cares about her effects on black people lol

Harris 'looks' progressive enough for DNC (First Black Woman VP!) while also not being a particular political threat to its structure, and that's what matters.

Why would you be surprised? The DNC controls the process, and thereby its rules and supervision. They don't want Bernie or the Soc-Dems, and so this is their way of stonewalling him and suppressing his vote count while retaining some semblance of deniability (same thing with gerrymandering & ballot-harvesting). Sociopaths and psychopaths tend to be found across all political spectrums wherever there's power, and to them, the ends justify the means...

That being said, Sanders is doing a good job of losing by not going after Biden's record, letting others define him, and by letting gulag progressives take control of his campaign. Personally I'm hoping that he can find a spine, for the debate this weekend (if he lasts that long).

Edit: Nice to hear he's sticking and fighting- I've heard that there's an argument that there's a pathway forward in simply outlasting Biden mentally to the convention.
