042007 Spring has Sprung in Toronto (Victorians Galore!!)

So yeah, today was the first day of great weather after a long and cold winter and spring is finally starting to show. Perfect for photo taking too, clear blue skies and sunshine.

Me and my buddy decided to walk around areas of downtown (mainly Eastside) and go on a photo tour, Enjoy!!

Starting off at Riverdale Park with the great view overlooking the skyline:

Then exploring the side streets in Riverdale:

Lots of nice bars in the area...Hmm...Hemp Beer?

Cabbagetown which I must confess has quickly become my favourite of Toronto's historical neighbourhoods:

As you can see, I am obsessed over Victorians!

You had the perfect weather for picture taking indeed!
One thing I noticed, is that the trees still haven't gotten their leafs over there, when do they usually get them? It's april 21st already..

Found this neat preserved facade structure inside Ryerson campus, found it interesting because it only has the remaining structural facade left, first time I saw this in Toronto. Reminds me of the Ruins of St. Paul in Macau:

A congregation of junkies @ YD Square for the "420" (4:20 on April 20) day in which everyone gets together to smoke up some Mary jane . The official celebration took place @ Kensington Market.

Awesome reggae dance/drumming street performance:

Thanks again for the pics... good to see so many people walking around! I guess the better weather really brings the city to life.
Also, how are events like 420 treated by the authorities? I read that Canada was moving towards decriminalization of marihuana, but I don't know how things are there today with Harper in charge.
