If our goal as a country is to win gold medals to crow about mindlessly, then we need to treat amateur sports competitions as though they were military campaigns. Recruit or conscript the best in each discipline and spare no expense to train them to the peak of physical fitness. Or we could do...

They don't have a hockey club.....but then what we've got isn't really one either.

I'm sure all of those places where people were shot at in Toronto were really located in Buffalo or Detroit. No areas exist in our fair city...

Sorry, forgot to put a smiley-face at the end of my last sentence (re: CFL players). However, police may deter crime, but when was the last time they stopped one in progress a la Superman?

Police very very rarely prevent crimes from happening. They are there to serve the wealthy and protect property. That's their job. We're there to pay their salaries. They are very good at pursuing evil doers after-the-fact however, but as we all know there's never one there when you need one...

Is there another city in the world that has as many suffering sports clubs as Toronto?

Maybe suggest to (force) companies who want to open branches in Ontario they move to areas that have shrinking populations so more immigrants will be inclined to settle there.

Maybe you could talk Hurricane Hazel into moving to Toronto and running for mayor. Mississauga would miss her, but anything for our pals in the Big Smoke.

Last time I drove through Montreal, the streets looked like they'd been under heavy artillery shelling. Those are the effects I'm talking about. Infratructure.

Concentrate on water sports like canoeing and kayak, and boxing and rugby, sports where we have a core of good athletes.
