    Toronto Ripley's Aquarium of Canada | 13.11m | 2s | Ripley Entertainment | B+H

Maybe Exhibition Place, but Ontario Place is too separated from Transit and any other attraction. During the summer it might draw well, but during the winter it would be the only thing open: I highly doubt anyone would walk from the Exhibition Station to Ontario Place in the winter to see...

    Toronto Ripley's Aquarium of Canada | 13.11m | 2s | Ripley Entertainment | B+H

Ontario Place is so far out of the way and at best a seasonal attraction, tourists would not venture there simply to see an aquarium. By placing it at the apex of the tourism industry, you are attracting walk-ups and making it a visible presence. In 30 years they haven't found a better use...

    Peter Street Wetland

I don't think a swamp would be a good choice either, but given the success of the Spadina Quay wetland and the importance of water quality I think it is an interesting option to investigate. The following is on the City of Toronto website: "The public space in the basin has been underused...

    Peter Street Wetland

From all the recent materials released from Waterfront Toronto, the maple leaf seems to have been removed.

    Peter Street Wetland

Hi, I have a meeting with Waterfront Toronto this afternoon to talk about building a wetland in the Peter Street Basin, east of Spadina on Queen's Quay. I think it would compliment their sustainability initiatives quite nicely and it would act as a catalyst to spur investment in the public...

Toronto Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning | ?m | 21s | Sick Kids | Diamond Schmitt

??? Why would you connect it to Queens Park when its on Bay Street, 1 block from Dundas Station. It should have PATH access, the PATH ends at the bus terminal so all they would need to do is go under road.

    TTC Drawings/Diagrams/Maps

I love those old maps that were drawn by hand

Allstream Centre (CNE Automotive Building Renovation, 2s, David Clusiau @ NORR) COMPLETE

Ultimately I think this is the kind of project that will revitalize Exhibition Place and start to see it change and evolve into a more mature destination. I don't think the Indy has any place there anymore, there are too many residents in the area and it causes such traffic problems. Few...

Head of Slips (Waterfront Toronto, West 8/DTAH)

I worked at Harbourfront Centre when they were adding their boardwalk, I wouldn't hold my breathe on that 10 days. Those projects are horribly mismanaged, you look at Harbourfront Centre and the work is shoddy. Hopefully the Spadina Slip will mark a change for the better

How to stop dummies from driving on the raised TTC ROWs?

Good idea, but I don't know how well they would stand up to the salt and sand in the winter, one faulty mechanism and streetcars are stuck. I think they need to make better use of rumble strips

    TTC stops selling tickets

I just read something by Steve Munro and apparently the TTC has the smart card system taking 6 years to get to pilot phase and 4 more to be fully operational...I guess I was just hoping that maybe they could jump on top of things...oh well, its a start I guess

    TTC stops selling tickets

Maybe, but its been like that for years, if that was the real issue why not have metallic faces on the tickets like in Mississauga? They redesigned the tokens after they were counter fitted, no reason they couldn't do the same with the tickets. Besides, everytime there is a fare increase they...

    TTC stops selling tickets

Hey, Metrolinx has a big budget and if they are willing to throw money at it anything could happen. It will start at major transit centres which connect to other Presto card using systems....Union Station, Kipling, Islington, etc. and will go from there. It just doesn't make any sense for the...

    Hydrogen Fuelled Trains

The nuclear power plants in operation right now do not have the right infrastructure to use excess capacity to make hydrogen, its something to do with the piping and steam, etc. etc. But the new nukes they are building will have the capability of making hyrdrogen in massive quantities, then it...

    TTC stops selling tickets

Long time reader, first post. I was thinking there is probably some ulterior motive behind the TTC's removal of tickets from the system, I'm thinking they are gearing up for a move to a smart card system. Metrolinx is pushing it hard and the TTC has been a major stumbling block in executing...
