    Toronto No. 31 Condos | 153.63m | 46s | Lanterra | Arquitectonica

The Distillery District seemed to be so detached from downtown before but not now! I'm looking forward to 'downtown' hopping over the Don River and continuing all the way to Leslie Street.

This corner used to be so bleak. It now looks big city glam.

The west bound lanes were always 'up and down' along the westbound Lakeshore. Especially adjacent to the (removed now) old pillars of the Gardiner access ramp. Someone here mentioned that alongside the current eastbound lakeshore the road is 'up and down' adjacent to the Gardiner pillars. If I...

    Riverdale

That was precisely my point. Thank you for for pointing out the the obvious.I don't know about Cabbagetown however I do know that folks who lived in 'Prime Riverdale' were happy to say so at times. Especially at smart cocktail parties lol.

    Riverdale

That map is correct. Having lived in this area for 40 years the only change is that North Riverdale was once referred to as 'Prime Riverdale' and the term Riverside did not even exist AFAIK. Before that it was even called 'Caggagetown 2' for a while to get more attention for those who Riverdale...

I agree it seems 'plop' there you go with nothing in common with the existing herirtage structure.

It's too bad that the brick accents did not go around all four sides of this project. I hope that the landscaping will help to save this building visually.

Personally I would never buy any living space without a private out door patio/balcony/terrace whatever one wishes to call it. Some may consider it a luxury some may consider it a nuisance. I consider an outdoor space absolutely necessary along with a parking space for my car. ;-)

    Toronto 26 Laing Street | 52.55m | 14s | Sud Group | BNKC

This area is going to change exponentially in the years to come. Eastern Avenue is generally a very unattractive street however this area is very well situated with parks, Lake Ontario, Leslie Street Spit, The Port Lands, Woodbine Beach nearby, shopping, the Ontario line and East Harbour...

So boring it looks as though it has always been there. In other words no one will even notice it.

    Hamilton 11 Robert Street | 19m | 6s | Yoke Group | Lintack Architects

I agree this is a perfect example of the 'missing middle' that many of us would be happy to see sporting up all over. I'm also hoping that the investor driven' high'towers are going the way of the dodo bird. I do love tall towers but we can do better.

I hope the lighting in the crowns is special.
