    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

I would guess that is partly true in that without enforcing the structure under the pavers the load wouldn't be transferred well, especially with a shallow depth install. However, by lifting out the pavers, installing steel plates that extend from one bollard to the next and have penetrating...

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Those blocks they installed are a complete hindrance to pedestrian flow. Hopefully they are temporary and the city realizes that proper bollards are the right solution here, but considering they cut into the attractive pavers they installed not that long ago I'm guessing someone thinks this is...

Ontario Line Extension West of Ontario Place (Speculation)

In the plan Line D is expected to make that unnecessary. It isn't on Dufferin (except at Queen St) but Lansdowne and Caledonia are close enough to make a subway on Dufferin redundant.

Ontario Line Extension West of Ontario Place (Speculation)

I would vote for this westerly extension of the Ontario Line. Service Jameson and the south end of Roncesvalles, connect with services at Park Lawn, serve the core of the Queensway, and go direct to the airport hitting Etobicoke Centre and the highrise areas of the East and West Mall along 427.

    East Don Trail Project

I'm not talking about Metrolinx's involvement with the new trail... that wasn't their project to manage and schedule. I have no idea how organized the TCRA and/or city have been on planning construction or working with Metrolinx to book times to close the rail corridor briefly to build the...

    General transit discussion

I would lean towards the Flexity Freedom or Citadis X05 for styling though.

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

The white and lime green line will continue. That misalignment of the window with the silver edge is there even in the current model... I think it is the track for the door of the chair lift.

    East Don Trail Project

I rode the trail this past weekend so here are my thoughts not just of this path itself but the surrounding bike network: Bravo to the city... the results look great (although you can tell it has taken a long time to complete since the rock walls lining the trail look slightly overgrown and...

Toronto Eglinton Line 5: Don Valley Station (was Science Centre Station) | ?m | 2s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

No, that is for Wheel-Trans, but it is weird that across most of route whenever they did road work they put the bike lanes in with raised bike lanes with yellow zones at bus stops, but not here.

    Toronto Ookwemin Minising | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I know they were looking for large donors that would get their name on the playpark, but is the Learning Centre and cafe part funded (i.e. the building)?

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Yes, there is no such thing as Commerce Station. Renforth Station is at Commerce Blvd and connected to the Mississauga Transitway.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

For every homeless person currently laid across the seats and smelling like defecation the city / province properly treats, bathes, and does the laundry for, they will increase a subway car's capacity by 10%.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

When I think of how dead Union station was outside rush hour, how dingy the concourse was, and how it was a place to get in and out of... despite the many years of delays this is probably one of the best investments the city has made in a long time. Even on weekends the place is busy and people...

    Toronto Ontario Line: Exhibition Station | ?m | 2s | Metrolinx | HDR

Depends if the subway is passing under buildings, water pipes, sewers, gas, and buried lines. Under a building it is really bad.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I'm between these two statements. I'd rather have a 90% chance of a less than 10 minute wait than an almost 100% chance of a 30 minute wait... but there is a limit to how late something can be. I would think 30 minutes late is too late for any local trip... even at a rare 1% of the time...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

The Sheppard East extension, I'm really hoping that Metrolinx goes with Option 2B (i.e. connecting to Scarborough Centre as originally planned long back in the Environmental Assessment when the subway was first conceived and as it was in the official plan for years). That route makes far more...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

The Sheppard West extension should definitely head to the airport and hit the locations most likely to continue to intensify and which are already intensified or higher density employment. - Runway Central - YZD major development - Ancaster - Just south of the Hanger District, developable land...

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Not only is it still close to Cherry, Ookwemin means Black Cherry Trees... so still cherry-ish.

    Toronto Exhibition Transit Oriented Community | ?m | 54s | Infrastructure ON | SvN

Why would they go from 20k square meters of office space to zero. What a wasted opportunity. A continuing gentrification that will push out small tech companies from the area when the ease of access should have been growing the areas potential for such things. It isn't just affordable...

    Toronto Porsche Centre Downtown | 12.76m | 3s | DFC | BDP Quadrangle

The park is going to open in the next year. Where can people going to the park and Cherry beach go for drinks other than a long hike to Leslie and Lakeshore, Queens Quay East, or Cherry St BBQ. I know more than one person that ended up at Cherry St BBQ because it is somewhat of a monopoly in...
