    Mississauga Square One District | ?m | 65s | Oxford Properties | Hariri Pontarini

Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just stating how things work in Mississauga. The first complaint about any development in a residential area, whether it be a commercial plaza, place of worship, school, community centre, is: there will be too much traffic in the neighbourhood and too many people...

I would suppose somewhere closer to Britannia. The NIMBYs are not going to want a stadium in any residential area.

I hope so. The franken-terminal really needs to be demolished and a do-over is in order.

If ground breaking is set for this fall, and Daniels is part of the press conference, maybe they mean an overall vision, and the first phase of Oxford's plan is the property at Living Arts & Rathburn. Just speculation.

    Mississauga GO Transit: Cooksville GO Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | WalterFedy

Looks like the southern parking lot, with the Portuguese restaurant will be re-developed soon. The restaurant is closed since the property was sold to developers. (Source: Insauga)

    Yonge-Dundas Square/Sankofa Square (Brown + Storey Architects)

These condos are more like gated communities. One doesn't need to interact with their neighbourhood (or even their neighbours, for that matter) at all: just hop into the car and drive out of the garage or take the PATH or the TTC and go to some place more desirable.

    Mississauga Oro at Edge Towers | ?m | 50s | Solmar | Rosario Varacalli

I'm betting it's going to be a round building, with no edges. The name "Oro" sounds very roundish.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

What amazes me is that this protest group went and got 36 shipping containers to demonstrate how big the substation will be. How much money does this group have? Are they confused about the transformer? Do they think it's a Decepticon?

? Pardon my ignorance, but what is that thing, and what is its purpose? Thanks!

    Mississauga (non-mall) Retail

Yes, There is a Marshalls and a HomeSense in Heartland too. There are two Dollaramas in Heartland as well, so there is precedent.

    Mississauga 3600-3606 Hurontario Street | ?m | 50s | Edenshaw

Don't know if it is related to the relocation of utilities along Hurontario, or this project is moving along, but the trees on this site are being chopped down.

    Mississauga Iona Gate | ?m | 25s | Oben Flats | Core Architects

Is the shopping plaza being redeveloped? What happens to the grocery store? It would be crazy for the grocery store, in walking distance from the multitude of apartment buildings, to shut down, forcing people to drive further away to do their grocery shopping.

    Mississauga Oro at Edge Towers | ?m | 50s | Solmar | Rosario Varacalli

The irony is this development is really meant for people that want to commute to Toronto for work and play. The marketing keeps stressing the point that the LRT will be built right there.

    Toronto Scotiabank Arena Renovations | ?m | ?s | MLSE | BBB

Just want to say, perhaps fans will refer to the arena as "Jurassic Park' when the Raptors are playing, or "Maple Leaf Square" when the Leafs are playing and otherwise. Yes they refer to the area outside the arena, but fans should figure it out. I will see myself out...
