    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

It has been a few months and every time I go past the shop at Dundas there are still people in line, and you can spot many carrying the bags around downtown.

    Toronto Eaton Centre (Ongoing Renewal) | ?m | ?s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

Only had time for a quick snap, the ad board structure is being completely disassembled.

Glad to see another slim building. I wouldn't want to be the guy cutting the frames and glass for this one though.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I see, is that a Presto limitation? This seems like such a trivial thing to program, but what do I know.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

It's by far the most logical and fair way to do it. Has the TTC mentioned at all what method they will use? I think Ottawa makes you buy a pass and load it onto the card, whereas GO gives you free rides after a certain amount? Correct me if I'm wrong.

    Toronto Berczy Park Revitalization | ?m | ?s

Ah, cool. You don't usually get to see these things actually being fabricated. Nice work.

Despite what Ford says The Streetcar in Toronto is here to stay.

The issue of bicycle tires getting stuck in the groove between the track and concrete is easily solved with a rubber flange. No clue why the TTC never uses these.

    Toronto Bungalow on Mercer | 62.79m | 17s | Kalovida | Scott Shields

Absolutely agreed. I'm hoping this fine-grained approach using smaller parcels of land is something that will become more common in the future. That seems to be the case in most large cities so there's hope.

Ped/Bike/Transit Bridge or Tunnel to Toronto Island?

It's not exactly easy to make it out to the Eastern Gap, in fact it would probably take the same amount of time or longer than the ferry depending on where you start from and your method of transportation. If you want a serene park with nobody around the ravines are often a good choice, or make...

    Impressive! Is that all metal?

    Toronto Wellesley on the Park | 194.15m | 60s | Lanterra | KPMB

I don't care for the insinuation here, nobody mentioned this before you did. And the vast majority of parks in Toronto are named after landmarks, roads and neighbourhoods anyway.

Toronto The Bentway (was Under Gardiner) | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Just off the top of my head: naming it Old Shoreline Plaza or something similar would reduce confusion and help educate at the same time.

Toronto The Bentway (was Under Gardiner) | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

"Invasion Garden", "Explosion Garden" haha. Lots of beach/shoreline references as well, sure to confuse those who don't read the plaques explaining the shore moved over time. I have to think whoever is naming these locations is out of touch with the common folk. Otherwise it's coming together...

"Thank You Park"? "Hello Park"? who comes up with this stuff?

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Is there a thread for fare gate installation? Couldn't find one. In any case, new gates are installed at Lansdowne, they look almost ready for operation.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I believe one of the issues preventing quicker work is lack of funding. There actually isn't enough money to add elevators to all the stations as of now.

Ped/Bike/Transit Bridge or Tunnel to Toronto Island?

LRT is overkill I think. Just a small pedestrian/bike bridge with a path to the Cherry Beach roundabout would be great. It would make the islands accessible for everyone. I'm sure most people don't even consider it, but the $6/person cost does actually prevent some lower income people...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I would expect the elevators to go at the very end of the platform, and they only need to go down one level since it connects to the Line 2 mezzanine via the walkway so they would probably be easier to install as a result. However it's at least 3-4 years before they start that project and I...

    Toronto The Gloucester on Yonge | 147.82m | 44s | Concord Adex | a—A

I like the massing of the tower portion, but yes the street level is pretty sterile as usual.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

There were road crews patching the asphalt on Bloor near Spadina yesterday, I would say work has sort of begun already. Looking forward to the lanes, I anticipate they will be well used.
