Toronto Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

That link seems to be dead, I get a blank page in multiple browsers. What's it supposed to be?

Anyone seen an elevator for accessing the food court? I searched every corner and didn't find one.

I took the Barrie Line southbound to Downsview Park GO today at 8:45 AM. There were about 30-40 people getting off the train. This is surprising because this was one of the trains that does service York University GO as well, and a few dozen people got off there. Most of the passengers seemed to...

I think people are being unreasonable with questions like this. The York Concourse opened on April 27, 2015, so they've only had about 3 years and 7 months since then to work on those escalators, assuming they didn't start before then. Have some patience, for goodness' sake.

Anniversary of what opening? The TYSSE opened on December 17 2017.

Don't put too much stock in Panago. There is a small pizza chain called Pizza Studio Canada, I go to one of their locations sometimes, and their pizzas get ready in about 3 minutes. They're small 10-inch personal pizzas, and they go through a conveyor belt oven that quickly, and come out very...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I thought the TTC had stated they were no longer considering that option at all?

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

It makes sense. The actual horn on the flexities is loud. And they're fairly quiet when they're gliding along. The operator needs to be able to alert pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers without making them jump.

    Mississauga Mississauga Transitway | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | IBI Group

Interesting point. Crosstown Phase 2, if it ever happens, will probably significantly increase the utility of the MiWay BRT. It will be interesting to see, a year after that opens (2076?) if the BRT's ridership goes up sharply.

    Accessibility and the TTC

That one is missing several. 407 and Pioneer Village have washrooms, for instance. Just they're technically in the GO and YRT parts of the station, respectively, so as far as the TTC is concerned, they literally don't exist.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I'm guessing all streetcars will terminate at Dufferin Loop in the west, with shuttle buses for the remainder of the route avoiding the construction zone and heading up Roncesvalles.

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

Another service degradation (30 minutes, plus delays of 15 minutes or more) is scheduled for next weekend, September 22nd/23rd, according to signs at the stations today. Onboard staff ran an announcement stating 15+ minute delays are expected; reason given was signal work at Union.

Quick video of the MSF at Mount Dennis from the window of a UPX train I was on today (I don't really follow this thread so apologies if something similar has been posted recently) https://streamable.com/t3lmn

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

Seen at Union today - thank goodness, the 300-series/4000-series seats are so ridiculously painful to sit in. I get lower back pain after sitting in them for 1 minute or so - none of the seats in the previous 200s/2000-28xx cars have ever bothered me.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Since you're such an IT expert, can you explain how they can have instant reloads on cards that are on mobile vehicles or underground, without a stable constant wired internet connection, without spending additional funds that taxpayers and governments are unwilling to allocate to something that...

Toronto Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

Not sure why they would. There is already a shuttle - the subway - from Downsview Park GO to Pioneer Village station near the stadium. And York U GO is not serviced outside of southbound trains during the morning rush and northbound trains during the evening rush, it is bypassed offpeak and...

Wow, the York teamway roof is suddenly moving really quickly. They went from nothing to the side frames to now putting in some of the roof itself in just a few days. Great to see.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

This is correct. Taking a TTC trip "closes" your GO trip in exchange for the discount. It is frequently more cost effective to carry a 2nd presto card for TTC use in order not to "contaminate" your GO transfer on your main card. I do this regularly. My use case: A) Using a single presto card...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Where would those riders park? Suburban GO commuters overwhelmingly drive to and park at their stations. You can add as much service as you want but with no parking, there won't be much ridership. I would know, here at Aurora GO with the new hourly service I'm still driving downtown most of the...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

They can stop selling metropasses, tickets, tokens, day passes, weekly passes, and probably the GTA weekly pass as it seems that isn't going to make it on Presto and is being replaced by co-fares with other agencies and future fare integration. The only legacy fare media they still need to sell...
