    Toronto Residences at the RCMI Condos | 134.72m | 42s | Tribute | Zeidler

I disagree. To me, the materials on this one seem to be better thought out and possibly of a higher quality. I'm quite liking the looks of RCMI so far. Nice addition to the skyline and a decent change in use (residential) for the area.

    Toronto Residences at the RCMI Condos | 134.72m | 42s | Tribute | Zeidler

While the cladding is nothing out of the ordinary, for this neighbourhood it is. I get the feeling it's going to be different enough from the surrounding buildings to stand out.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

This response is pretty late, but I do recall all the polls being done during the lead-up to Ford's victory. Re-election ratings for Miller were as high as mid 70's by percent. In no polls, regardless of political leaning, did Miller "lose" the "vote" had he actually been running against the...

It looks to be at the half way mark about now. At least in terms of height.

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

The balcony glass on the left that they've settled with looks much nicer, imo, but just doesn't belong to Aura. It seems that in no way does it relate to any part of the design of the building. It'll do a nice job of masking the sides of the balcony concrete, and it'll look decent from afar...

    Toronto Market Wharf | 110.33m | 33s | Context Development | a—A

Fantastic photo update, Razz. Thanks for sharing them, and the great view. I find Market Wharf appears fairly bland from the direct east and west sides, except when sunlight causes shadows from the balconies. All other angles of the tower look great though.

    Toronto Ïce Condominiums at York Centre | 234.07m | 67s | Lanterra | a—A

This is turning out to be quite the dense little nabe. It'd be nice, though, if some of these newer office towers were to use glass colours that contrast the condo towers.

I should point out that "Dennis and Lea" was also submitted by a UT forum member, though I haven't seen him around these parts in some time.

I'm not familiar with this situation, but if it's right... are you kidding! Whatever happened to acceptance? So now kids are going to have to leave school to eat if they don't partake in Halal meats? I say bring back the Lord's Prayer to classrooms and make others just leave that do not wish...

Isn't this just the application for approval?

    Toronto SIX50 King West | ?m | 16s | Freed | Core Architects

SNF, interesting. It's not perfect, but I find this to be one of the better projects in the past few years. I agree that without the columns would have been cleaner, which I think is what you're saying, but I still don't mind them. Though part of me wishes they lined up vertically or made...

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

Not sure if this is directed at me or not. I can see them going and fixing it later, though I'm not sure if they will or not. My problem isn't so much with these little defects here and there (though I think they're telling) but more about the mess this building is overall. I do like the...

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

Thanks for that, SP!RE. You've summed it up quite well. When I first joined UT (2001?), I was all about the height and very little about anything else. Very much one of the types you describe. But over the years I've gotten pretty fed up by the deficiencies and cookie-cutter architecture...

Thanks for the pics, bnb. Keep 'em coming :) I'm surprised at how quickly this one is already starting to move. Looks like they'll be ready for a concrete pour in the next week or two.

Definitely time-consuming. I can easily speed 150+ hours on a (single) condo rendering if CAD files aren't supplied. Though additional renders take less time once the 3D model and assets are already done.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Seems I'm often over 0.25. That said, I don't own a license (expired in 1999). Certainly it was a lapse in her judgement to hop behind the wheel, but to ask her to resign is, in my opinion, excessive.

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

I think what it boils down to is that there's a few thousand people on this forum and not everyone is going to agree. People that are "complaining" about the heritage buildings aren't necessarily (though they can be) the same people that are crying for world-renowned architecture. Also, people...

    Toronto CAMH Queen Street | 60.3m | 7s | CAMH | Diamond Schmitt + KPMB + TreanorHL + HOK

Amazing picture, yonderbean. I've noticed that too. But I think in my case its more psychologically disconnected/segregated from the surrounding area than it actually is physically.

    Toronto King Blue by Greenland | 155.75m | 48s | Greenland | Arcadis

They've obviously taken some visual cues from Festival Tower's balcony glass, but slightly different. Looks like there's going to be a visual fading from partially opaque at the bottom of each balcony glass panel to fully clear towards the top. Could be interesting. The project overall looks...

LOL. And I suppose right at the entrance is the perfect place to put it too.</sarcasm>
